Switched Reluctance Drives

Switched reluctance drives offer a simple and rugged solution for many variable speed drive applications.  Technelec has focused specifically on reducing the cost of power electronic converters without reducing the performance of the motor.  This has been achieved through innovative design of the motor, its windings and the power electronic circuit configuration.

Flux Switching Motors and Drives

The flux switching motor (FSM) is an exciting new motor technology offering the robustness and simplicity of the switched reluctance motor with extremely low cost sensorless electronic controller.

Flux Switching Generators

The flux switching machine makes an excellent generator suited to operation over a wide speed range.  Technelec Ltd is designing generators for a range of speeds and powers from 1000 r/min to 100,000 r/min.

Technelec Ltd. has developed unique control technology for hybrid stepping motor drives, delivering smoother performance, cooler motors and stall detection.  Drives up to 230 V ac are available.
